This series of workshops is aligned to the IFL/DL system-wide initiative. The workshops are designed to develop teacher leadership for Social Studies DL; train teachers for DL content delivery and train participants to use the DL tools to monitor their programs for success.

Reading First Coaches and Project Coordinators will meet monthly to discuss Best Practices and data utilization for grades K-3 per grant directive. The outcomes for each of the trainings is to reinforce and strengthen the instructional practices and skills needed by teachers to implement the Reading First Grant. This training is ongoing and adjusted to fit the specific needs of the teachers at the time of training. Data gathered during school visits and observations will help to shape the PD. This strengthens the offering because the activities and modeling of skills emerge from identified and immediate needs of the teachers as they implement the program. Data on implementation are analyzed by the program and coordinators and are used to adjust and shape the ongoing PD.
