    PARKING

    • The new entrance on Berry Road is now open! There is no parking in the bus parking lot between 8:00am -10:00am and 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Parents may park in the lots accessible from Berry Road (lower campus) and Livingston Road (upper campus).

    STUDENT DROP OFF (MORNING)

    • Parents may begin dropping off students at 8:45am.  No student should be dropped off before 8:45am because staff members are not on duty until then. In order to reduce vehicle traffic, parents are encouraged to have their child(ren) ride the school bus to school.

    • Parents may drop off students in grades K-4 using the parent drop-off lane accessible from the Berry Road entrance (not the bus entrance).

    • Parents may drop off students in grades 5-8 using the parent drop-off lane accessible from the Livingston Road entrance.

    STUDENT PICK UP (AFTERNOON)

    • Parents may pick students up during dismissal from 3:35pm until 4:00pm.

    • During parent pick-up, parents are encouraged to remain in their vehicle and form a line.  A staff member will check the parent's ID and call the student outside.

    • In order to reduce vehicle traffic, parents are encouraged to have their child(ren) ride the school bus home from school.

    • Lower Campus (Grades K-4): Parents may pick up students in the Lower Campus pick-up lane that is accessible from the Berry Road entrance (not the bus entrance).

    • Upper Campus (Grades 5-8): Parents may pick up students using the Upper Campus pick-up lane that is accessible from the Livingston Road entrance.

    • Note: Parents that have students in both campuses will pick their children up at the Lower Campus.

    100% ID CHECK

    • All visitors must enter the school through the main entrance and report to the main office upon arrival to the school.    

    • All visitors must present a valid photo ID.  

    • A visitor's pass is required when going beyond the main office.

    SUBSTITUTES NEEDED

    • If you are currently a substitute teacher with PGCPS and are interested in substituting at Accokeek Academy, please contact Dr. Jelks at 301-203-3200 or Trevine.Jelks@pgcps.org.

    AGENDA BOOKS

    • All students are required to have an agenda book.  

    • Teachers will sign or stamp agenda books daily to ensure students are writing down homework assignments and other important information.  

    • Please contact your child's teacher if his/her agenda book is not signed or stamped daily.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS

    • All students in grades 6 through 8 wanting to participate in middle school sports must have a sports physical prior to trying out for the team.  

    • The physical paperwork must be signed by a certified doctor. The physical form can be found in the student athlete and parent packet and are posted in the multi-purpose room.  

    • Contact the Athletic Director for more information.

    DONATIONS

     

    • Donations are being accepted for the following items:

    • Lunch Money:

      • If you would like to donate money to help students that do not have lunch money and may not qualify for free lunch, please donate in person at either cafeteria to the Principal's Lunch Account.   

    • Hand Sanitizer and Facial Tissues:     

      • These items can be dropped off at the main office at either campus.     

    • Uniform Items:   

      • Gray, gold and royal blue polo shirts (new or gently worn/washed).   

      • Black or brown belts (new or gently worn).   

      • Navy blue uniform pants (new or gently worn/washed).   

      • These items can be dropped off at the main office at the upper campus.

    CONFISCATED ITEMS

     

    • Confiscated items may be retrieved from the main office by a parent or legal guardian only.

    • PGCPS employees are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, including confiscated items.
