    Wallace

    Born in District Heights and raised in Upper Marlboro, K. Alexander Wallace is a proud product of the Prince George's County Public Schools system. After graduating from Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School, Mr. Wallace graduated from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and minor in Communication Studies. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a Public Policy concentration from the University of Baltimore.

    Mr. Wallace has had the privilege of working with non­profits, governmental agencies, community leaders and elected officials such as The Education Trust, Maryland Higher Education Commission, University System of Maryland and Maryland Youth Advisory Council. In addition, he worked for several years as Legislative and Constituent Aide to State Sen. Ulysses Currie.

    Mr. Wallace has long advocated for equitable education funding for low-income students and students of color, secondary and higher education financial literacy, and community partnerships and engagement in public
    schools. As a Member of the Prince George's County Board of Education, Mr. Wallace's main areas of focus are improving alumni engagement, enhancing Career and Technical Education programs, and equitably allocating academic services and programs.

    Mr. Wallace was appointed to the Board of Education by Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III in November 2015. He was elected to a four-year term in November 2016. Mr. Wallace resides in Upper Marlboro.
